The Super Couloir Gloves are designed for some of the most challenging routes and feature a completely redesigned fit. They'll keep your hands warm, dry and protected where other gloves will simply fall to pieces.

The outer of the gloves are made using a mixture of Exolite 210 and Pittards Amortan Goatskin leather. Mountain Equipment's own Exolite softshell fabric is used throughout the main bulk of the glove, providing high amounts of weather resistance and durability, while Pittards Amortan is used on the palm and the back of the hand for unbeatable abrasion resistance. Underneath these tough outer fabrics is a fully waterproof and windproof Gore-Tex membrane, keeping your hands dry and warm in the gnarliest conditions. The inner of the gloves are lined with microfleece for warmth and moisture-wicking, while the back of the hand gets fibre pile for even greater warmth and protection.

An adjustable cuff closure keeps warmth in and snow out, while removable wrist tethers keep the gloves where they're supposed to be. The rear of the thumb has a suede patch to wipe your nose with in freezing conditions. A small red loop on the middle finger allows you to clip them to your harness when not in use. Cleverly, these are positioned so the cuff opening points downwards, avoiding snow/water ingress.

Are Gloves or Mitts warmer?

Mitts will be warmer in colder conditions as there is less surface area for heat to escape and your fingers will keep each other warm as well. With a mitt its also easier to add some form of liner glove to increase warmth as well.

What are the best gloves for Raynaud’s or poor circulation?

When someone has Raynauds or poor circulation, the body will struggle to warm up especially around fingers and toes.

The best advice we can offer is go for a good pair of Mitts that are both waterproof and insulated. But have the additional layer of a silk liner glove.

A silk liner glove reflects the heat as well as spreading over areas, giving you a much better performance in keeping warm. You may also find that an electric heated glove or mitt will also help.

Can I return an item?

We can accept goods back for exchange or refund or Credit, The goods need to be of re-saleable quality and all labels and relevant paperwork are present. We will not accept any item back that has been worn, or not in a re-saleable condition i.e animal hair's, odors from smoke or fragrances, or any sign that goods have been used other than inspecting indoors.

Before sending your item back please make sure of the following
