Here at Keela, we have developed our award-winning System Dual Protection (SDP) which uses a simple 2-layer concept that manages inner condensation accumulating inside the garments during wet and cold conditions.
SDP features a tough and durable 100% waterproof outer layer, which can handle wear and tear whilst protecting you from the elements, and a lightweight inner layer laminated with a hydrophilic (water loving) membrane which rapidly transports the moisture (sweat and condensation) away from the body, keeping you dry and comfortable.
With this 2-layer system, an “Air Gap” is created which helps to build warmth, allowing for the body’s temperature to be regulated, minimising shivering when inactive.
System Dual Protection is used by Emergency Services & Mountain Rescue and is a popular choice with the outdoor community.
The Keela Prosport Waterproof Jacket has been designed to give the
optimum amount of movement while in the outdoors. It uses a fully

How do I Re-Proof Waterproof Jacket's or Trouser's?
First, how to know when a waterproof garment needs re proofing. When new any waterproof Jacket or Trouser in the rain the water should bead up and roll of the jacket. This is the DWR coating on the outside performing as it should.
After time as the item is used more and more Rainwater will soak up into the jacket rather than repelling, although water will not penetrate through, the jacket will become heavier and allot less breathable.
To reproof the jacket first you will need to clean the jacket from any dirt or grime by using a recommended cleaner such as Nikwax Tech Wash [NO Detergents or Softeners]. Once the jacket is clean, the garment can be reproofed using Nikwax TX-Direct or similar recommended products.
What should i wear under a Waterproof Jacket?
What you wear under a waterproof jacket can be a very subjective question depending on what activity you are doing. A proper layering system can certainly help any waterproof jacket with its performance and breathability.
To start with a suitable base layer, Choose either a long or short sleeve wicking t-shirt such as polyester, wool or similar you will feel allot warmer and no clammy moisture against your skin. Please avoid any cotton fabrics as these can both hold moisture and take longer to dry.
A midlayer can be any of your choosing depending on how warm you wish to be. A pull over fleece or full zip fleece jacket will be ideal. If in colder weather a suitable synthetic or down insulated jacket with add further warmth however may be too warm if on a very active activity.
