The Trangia Multifuel Burner X2 is a fast, reliable and safe alternative to conventional burners, making it particularly well suited to extreme weather conditions, including very low temperatures. It is compatible with all Trangia 25 Large and 27 Small stove systems.

The Multifuel Burner X2 is slightly more complex to use than other burners, as it requires preheating and regular maintenance. It can be used with both liquid fuel and gas, offering excellent versatility in a wide range of conditions.

The burner is compatible with propane/butane gas cartridges featuring threaded valves that meet the EN417 international standard. This is a widely used standard found around the world, with compatible cartridges available from manufacturers including Primus, MSR, Optimus and Jetboil.

Recommended Fuels

For the best performance, the first choice should be cartridge gas or high-quality liquid fuels such as white gas, alkylate petrol or Primus Powerfuel. These fuels offer a high energy content, burn cleanly and require less cleaning and maintenance.

Kerosene and diesel should only be used in an emergency, as they produce more residue and require considerably more cleaning afterwards. Regular 95-octane petrol should never be used.

Please note that fuel quality can vary depending on where you are in the world.

The burner can boil 1 litre of water in approximately 4 minutes when using gas and 4.5 minutes with alkylated petrol. Actual performance will vary depending on weather conditions and fuel quality.

On full power, fuel consumption is approximately 200 ml of petrol or 116 g of gas per hour.

Maintenance & Service

A dedicated service kit (Art. No. 750100) is available for the Multifuel Burner and contains the most important spare parts that may wear out or require replacement.

For longer trips, we strongly recommend carrying suitable tools and a service kit with your stove. For reliable, trouble-free operation, always read the supplied instructions, which include guidance on cleaning, maintenance and care.

Regular maintenance should be carried out from the beginning of use. Opening and servicing the burner regularly helps prevent components from sticking and keeps the nozzle and fuel line clean and free from blockages.

Can I return an item?

We can accept goods back for exchange or refund or Credit, The goods need to be of re-saleable quality and all labels and relevant paperwork are present. We will not accept any item back that has been worn, or not in a re-saleable condition i.e animal hair's, odors from smoke or fragrances, or any sign that goods have been used other than inspecting indoors.

As it’s the buyer’s responsibility to post goods back, we highly recommend using a courier with the correct insurance and proof of delivery back to us. We cannot be held liable for items lost in post.

Before sending your item back please make sure of the following

  • The item is still in a new and unused condition, free of odours and pet hairs
  • All labels and swing tags are still attached to the garment, and any boxed items are kept in the original box.
  • Any items which are blister packed are still in the condition in which they are sent.
  • Tents and canopies have not been erected and still in their original box.
