These wellies are made from a lightweight PU material constructed using millions of air pockets. This provides both outstanding thermal insulation and ensures the boots remain strong but still flexible. Can i try Footwear at home first?

With any pair of footwear Outdoor Action lets you try them on at home in side your home so that you can make sure they are the correct fit and you are happy with them.  Providing any footwear has not been worn outside and they come back in there original box and resalable we can accept them back for exchange or refund.  Unfortunately,  we cannot accept any footwear back if they have been worn outside or they are not in their original condition*.

If you have had a muddy or wet walk its best to clean your footwear  as soon as possible. Generally warm water and a brush will clear off any mud and dirt. There are specialist cleaners you can use as well.  Its also worth giving the insides a rinse as well to get rid of any grit that may of fallen inside .

Do not try and speed dry any footwear by putting them by a fire or radiator. This causes the outer  materials to dry and crack easily. Let them dry naturally at room temperature. Maybe try putting kitchen roll or newspaper inside to help if they are saturated.

Leather Boots or Shoes

All leather footwear needs to be cared for by using the correct proofing treatment and applying it regularly. Leather works best when it is repelling water. If the boots are soaking up moisture, this can affect the internal structure of the leather, which, when dry, can cause the boots to stiffen and eventually lead to the leather cracking. This can also affect breathability, meaning your feet can become sweaty and damp on the inside due to trapped moisture.

Regular proofing will treat the leather, preventing moisture from penetrating the boots, helping to stop the leather from drying out and cracking, as well as prolonging the life of the footwear.

The correct product for your boots will vary depending on the type of leather and construction. If you are unsure, please ask a member of staff or refer to our website for guidance. Do not use shoe polish.

Fabric Boots or Shoes

Breathable waterproof footwear relies on keeping moisture away from the outer fabric. If the outer fabric is absorbing water, this reduces the breathability, and your feet may feel clammy and wet, giving the impression that the boots are leaking.

A well-maintained and correctly proofed fabric boot will help keep water away from the outside of the boot. This is known as the DWR (Durable Water Repellency) treatment, which must be maintained throughout the life of the footwear.

Applying the correct proofing treatment will also help protect any leather components within the construction of a fabric boot, preventing them from drying out or cracking.

If footwear has not been cared for correctly, this may affect and potentially void any warranty claim in the future.

To provide the best possible service we use different courier services depending on the item Size, Weight and service selected. The Couriers we use are Royal Mail, Amazon Shipping, DPD & FedEx.
Most deliveries are made per working day [Monday to Friday] and exclude bank holidays, If you feel you will not be in to receive your parcel, please take advantage of using a different delivery address where someone can take delivery. All our couriers have pick up locations and can be selected once you have the tracking number and the courier has the parcel.

Deliveries are made between 8am till 9pm unless a specific option is chosen.

Can I return an item?

We can accept goods back for exchange or refund or Credit, The goods need to be of re-saleable quality and all labels and relevant paperwork are present. We will not accept any item back that has been worn, or not in a re-saleable condition i.e animal hair's, odors from smoke or fragrances, or any sign that goods have been used other than inspecting indoors.

As it’s the buyer’s responsibility to post goods back, we highly recommend using a courier with the correct insurance and proof of delivery back to us. We cannot be held liable for items lost in post.

Before sending your item back please make sure of the following

  • The item is still in a new and unused condition, free of odours and pet hairs
  • All labels and swing tags are still attached to the garment, and any boxed items are kept in the original box.
  • Any items which are blister packed are still in the condition in which they are sent.
  • Tents and canopies have not been erected and still in their original box.
  • If your order included a promotional item (such as a free gift or multi-buy offer), all items must be returned in full to qualify for a complete refund; otherwise, the value of any retained items will be deducted from your refund.
