When building a reliable outdoor wardrobe, choosing the right fabric for your activity is key. While our classic cotton outdoor t-shirts are perfect for relaxing around the campsite or a low-level summer stroll, a technical ladies' hiking top is essential when you start gaining elevation and working up a sweat.

Key Features to Consider:

Moisture Management: For active days, synthetic women's outdoor tops wick sweat away from your skin, keeping you dry and helping you avoid a chill when you stop on an exposed ridge.
Sun Safety & Insect Repellent: For exposed routes, opt for UV-protective hiking tops or insect-repellent features.

Frequently Asked Questions

What to wear hiking in summer?

Start with a lightweight, moisture-wicking t-shirt or a long-sleeve UV protection top to avoid sunburn. Pair this with breathable walking trousers or shorts, and always pack a lightweight waterproof in your rucksack for unpredictable downpours.

How tight should a base layer be?

A base layer should fit snugly against the skin without being restrictive. This close fit is essential; if the fabric isn't touching your skin, it cannot effectively absorb moisture and pull it outwards to evaporate.
