Tailored for the adventurous cyclist, whether navigating dirt trails or smooth pavements, the newly introduced Hubba Hubba Bikepack 1-person tent is intricately crafted for life on two wheels. Combining thoughtful features appreciated by all cyclists with spacious performance, this tent stands out as best-in-class.

The truly rectangular floor, devoid of foot taper, accommodates all your gear, while providing 38 inches (0.97 m) of headroom for comfortable sitting. The tent body, a blend of mesh and solid fabric, ensures airflow, privacy, and weather protection. The no-curve tent door, with user-friendly zippers, closes to a single point for easy location, even in darkness. Tech-friendly pockets with cable ports at the corners and large overhead gear loft pockets cater to charging cords, gloves, sunglasses, and quick-access items. An interior clothesline and an optional but included exterior clothesline offer ample space for hanging damp gear.

The rectangular tent design enables swift setup, particularly beneficial during unexpected rainstorms. The strong, lightweight DAC poles, perfectly sized for handlebar packing, prove convenient for kayak campers seeking easy tent storage in their boats. A waterproof coating and taped seams ensure stability and dryness, allowing you to weather any storm in comfort. The stealth-green rainfly boasts an extra-large vestibule for external gear storage, with an easy in-and-out vestibule door featuring a StayDry rain gutter to prevent dripping water. A kickstand vent maximizes airflow.

The meticulously designed waterproof handlebar storage bag seamlessly fits any bike, be it equipped with flat or drop bars. Included optional spacers keep the bag away from the bars, preserving valuable space for other items. The bag features a reflective logo for increased visibility on the road, along with loops for tying on additional gear. Its compact size allows for easy placement in panniers, a frame bag, or a backpack.

The Bottom Line: With excellent on-bike stability and feature-rich camp comfort, the Hubba Hubba Bikepack tent will quickly become your new favorite home-away-from home.

Technical Help
What Size Tent Do I Need?

Tent capacities (e.g., "4-man") indicate the absolute maximum sleeping space and do not account for luggage or living comfort. When choosing a size, consider the following:

  • The number of sleepers: How many people are in each room?
  • Your bed size: A standard double airbed takes up the space of about three sleeping bags.
  • Storage space: Factor in the extra room you will need for clothing, bags, and gear.

Our suggestion: For a family of 4, we highly recommend a 6+ berth tent to ensure comfortable living and storage space. Read our full guide to choosing the right tent.

Air Tents vs. Poled Tents: Which Should I Choose?

Both have distinct advantages depending on your camping style.

  • Air tents (inflatable): Extremely fast and easy to pitch, even for one person. They perform brilliantly in high winds because the beams flex rather than snap. They are generally heavier and more expensive.
  • Poled tents: The traditional, budget-friendly option. They have a lighter pack weight and smaller pack size, making them easier to transport, but they take longer to pitch.
What Does Hydrostatic Head (HH) Mean?

Hydrostatic Head is a way of measuring how waterproof a tent is. It indicates how many millimetres (mm) of water can pool on the fabric before it starts to seep through.

  • 1,500mm: The minimum legal requirement to be called "waterproof" (best for light summer showers).
  • 3,000 mm-4,000 mm: The standard for most quality family tents, easily handling heavy UK rain.
  • 5,000mm+: Premium waterproofing for extreme weather and longer lifespans.
What Do Tent Seasons Mean?

Tent season ratings guide you on what weather conditions the tent is designed to withstand.

  • 1-season: Very lightweight, meant for warm summer nights and light showers (often used for festivals).
  • 2-season: Ideal for late spring to early autumn in generally fair weather.
  • 3-season: Designed for spring through autumn, capable of handling heavy rain and strong winds. (Most family tents fall here).
  • 4-season: Built for year-round use, including harsh winter weather and snow.
Do Darkened or Blackout Bedrooms Actually Work?

Yes! Many of our tents feature darkened fabrics in the sleeping areas.

  • Better sleep: They significantly reduce early morning light, helping you (and importantly, the kids) sleep past sunrise.
  • Temperature control: True blackout fabric can also help regulate temperature, keeping the bedroom cooler during the day and warmer at night.
What is a Tent Footprint, and Do I Need One?

A tent footprint is a custom-sized groundsheet that goes underneath your tent. While not strictly mandatory, we highly recommend them to protect your investment.

  • Protection: It guards your tent’s sewn-in groundsheet against sharp rocks, thorns, and rough terrain.
  • Easier packing: When it is time to go home, the footprint gets muddy instead of the bottom of your tent, making packing up much cleaner.
  • Warmth: It adds an extra layer of insulation against the cold ground.
Does The Tent Come With Everything I Need To Pitch It?

Yes, all our tents come ready to pitch right out of the box.

  • Poled tents: Include the tent, poles, standard pegs, guylines, and a carry bag.
  • Air tents: Include the tent, a manual hand pump, standard pegs, guylines, and a carry bag.

Pro Tip: While the included pegs are great for standard grass, we always recommend buying a set of heavy-duty Hard Ground Pegs if you are camping on rocky or hardpack soil. Shop our tent pegs and mallets here.
